My Bag with maps is a totally new way of strategising your way around the course interactively. You can gain a technical edge on the golf course by inputting detailed information about your golf clubs. This article will guide you through how to use My Bag to input your club data such as distances, dispersions, and paths, and show you how to view this information on maps to strategically plan your game or your upcoming next stroke.

Understanding how to effectively use the My Bag feature can significantly improve your strategy by helping you visualise your shot possibilities right on the map. You'll learn how to customise your club data and interpret it for better decision-making.

Setting Up My Bag

To get started, navigate to the My Bag feature, either in Home, Me β†’ My Bag or Settings. Here, you can input each of your clubs by adding important details such as:

  • Distances: Know exactly how far you can hit with each club.

  • Dispersion: Using the distance control and accuracy control sliders create a probable dispersion area on the map.

  • Path: The trajectory of your shots. Do you push or pull shots often?

  • Color: Change the annotation overlay colour seen on the map. Open Tee provides defaults for different types of clubs. (Optional).

  • Club Details: Name of the club, model, description. (Optional).

Once you've filled in these details, your club data becomes easily accessible whenever you plan your shots on the course.

Overlaying Club Data on Maps

After setting up your clubs, our app allows you to see this data overlayed interactively on the course map. It intelligently adapts to the different distances of clubs in your bag so that you are always being recommended the closest set of clubs. Allowing you to make a decision on best club for the next shot.

To see this data on the map:

  1. You have added clubs to your bag in Open Tee.

  2. Go to either: Round Preview or Course View to see Club Dispersions.

  3. Make sure the button shown in the image in Fig. 1 below is toggled on.

  4. Then simply tap on the map at the desired location to club suggestions based on distances provided by My Bag.

Customising Your Clubs

The My Bag feature also allows you to personalise each club's colour and name. This makes it simpler to quickly identify and select the right club on your map view.
